Craziness with Fringe’s timeslot

Monday, January 11th, 2010

Thanks to our tweeple for alerting us to the fact that tonight’s episode of Fringe is an out-of-sequence/never-aired episode from Season 1. While we will be including it in our videos and probably even write it up a bit, we won’t be launching the usual accompanying live blog. Apparently, Fringe will soon return to its Thursday timeslot, and we’ll be back here as well live blogging it with you. Stay tuned for more.

Fringe changes timeslots

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

We wanted to put a quick note up to folks that (at some point over the past few days) the network has decided to move Fringe around a bit. We’ll be back here live blogging with you now on MONDAYS at 9pm EST, instead of our regular Thursday dates. Join us then!

Getting caught up on Fringe

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

So after a looooong holiday season, we’re back to mine Fringe for its science’y goodness. And just to catch you up, here’s a few reminders of where we left off a month or so ago…

Fringe episode 10 live blog

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Join us here as we live blog this week’s Fringe (where’s walter?) at 9pm EST along with our resident science blogger Michael Gilkey from the National Center for Regenerative Medicine.

Fringe preview episode 10: grey matters

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

It looks like last week’s exposition moment of Walter implanting a tracking chip into his brain comes in pretty handy this week. He’s kidnapped by the transdimensional travelers who want him to open a doorway in between these two dimensions. How? Can we expect some interesting science’y explanation for this, or are we just going to see lots of violence and gore? Let’s hope for the former, as last week’s episode had a little too much of the latter. Join us this Thursday at 9pm EST as we live blog Fringe right here.

Fringe episode 9 live blog

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Please join us here tonight (Thursday) at 9pm EST as we live blog a whole lot of uber-parasite fun along with our science blogger, Michael Gilkey.

Fringe Episode 9 Preview: Don’t eat that.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

After a hefty load of turkey and shoulder pads this past Thursday, we’re back to live blogging Fringe this week. Given the nature of this particular episode, it was probably a very wise move on the part of Fox NOT to air this episode after people had feasted on their Thanksgiving fare. In short, massive, mutated parasites. Luckily, we’ll be joined again this week by NCRM’s Michael Gilkey – our resident science blogger – who will help us break down the fact from the fiction in this week’s episode. Join us Thursday at 9pm EST as we live blog this week’s episode right here… and from the looks of it, you’ll want to leave the popcorn for another episode.

Fringe episode 8 wrap-up: The Observers

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Last night there wasn’t much science to be had, but they did manage to condense a lot of info on the elusive Observers into one short episode. Here’s a short version of some of our favorite moments. We’ll be doing this again the Thursday after Thanksgiving again at 9pm EST, so watch your twitter feed and facebook fan feed for updates, and join us!

Fringe Episode 8 Live blog

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Join us here tonight as we live blog tonight’s episode of Fringe. Hopefully we’ll find out a lot of answers on the “observers”. Pull up the popcorn…

Fringe episode 8 preview: who’s watching the watchers?

Monday, November 16th, 2009

This week it looks like we’ll be taking a break from the FBI’s normal Fringe casework, and instead focusing on the Waldos of the show… otherwise known as The Observers. In the preview clips we’ve seen, it looks like one of the Observers kidnaps a young woman. Despite people in the area trying to assist her, the Observer clearly has superior technology (and a handy way to hotwire a car in no time). In short, he gets away, but leaves a vital clue behind. So if you’ve been wondering for a season and a half now as to who these Observers are, this Thursday is the night to live blog with us here at 9pm EST.
